ABENIn the mid 1960's, the American Medical Electroencephalographic Association (AMEEGA) became aware of the need to identify qualified clinical electroencephalographers who are Doctors of Medicine. To meet this need, the American Board of Electroencephalography and Neurophysiology (ABEN) was established in 1972. For more information on ABEN certification examinations, click www.abenexam.com. This society provides examinations for physician board certification in: EEG, Pediatric EEG, Quantitative EEG, Evoked Potentials, and Sleep Disorders.
